Local SEO is won by completeness, consistency and credibility — and almost lost on the same three.

Start with Google Business Profile. Complete every field. Add photos every week. Use Posts and Q&A. This single asset typically drives more enquiries than the entire website for service businesses.

Next, citations. Your business name, address and phone need to match exactly across every major directory. Inconsistent data is the most common cause of sudden ranking drops.

Reviews matter on four dimensions: volume, recency, average rating and response rate. All four are weighted, not just the star rating. Respond to every review within 48 hours.

Finally, content. Build a dedicated location page for every market you serve, with unique local detail — not a template. Add LocalBusiness schema and link from your homepage.

Get those four right and you'll out-rank most local competitors within a quarter.
